Visiting the farm part 2

Kelley and I were trying to get some good pictures of Miss H smiling but she is so cute when she smiles that it kind of distracts you from taking the picture.

Then there is this scoundrel and my little buddy. Like a true boy, he has figured out the easiest way to get a drink of water. No glass required.



I missed the really impressive picture. Kelley was making dinner and H just had to be right there to see what she was doing. She started out holding little Miss H in one arm and then added H onto her back, and then commenced cooking dinner with one hand, explaining to H what she was doing the whole time. Quite impressive in my book.

On Saturday we all went and hiked the Scottsbluff monument. This is the ambitious group at the top of the monument and overlooking Scottsbluff.


H rode in the stroller all the way up but once we reached the top he was ready to do some pushing.

Cleaning is Important

Once again it has been over a month since my last post but not much has happened. At Hill Rental Properties we've been turning over apartments since the end of May. This means moving people out, doing maintenance, painting, installing vinyl and carpet if needed, cleaning, steamcleaning, and then moving people in. We usually only have two weeks between move out and move in so things get hectic pretty quick. Between July 31 and August 15th we turned approximately 75 apartments. Crazy times!!!!

I feel somewhat obligated to share a few memories... so...

You will not get your security deposit back if your apartment looks even close to this...


Uhm..yep.. new vinyl needed. It would take a cleaner several hours of scrubbing, even with stripper, to get this cleaned.


This carpet will not come clean regardless of how many times it is steamcleaned.



Uh... EXHAUST FANS PEOPLE!!! They ARE IMPORTANT!!!


Well... That was fun.

Windmills

Here are a few of the windmills that we encountered along the way. These pictures are for Mom as she was fascinated by them.

A storm had just passed and so the remaining clouds and the promise of a rainbow brought the bluffs to life. These were taken on the way from Chugwater, WY to G & K's

So it has been months since I've gotten time to post any pictures but I got some great ones of Nebraska, Wyoming, and, of course, Holden while we were at Grant and Kelley's so I have to share them.

So these next pictures tell a story. We were at Grant's parents house for dinner Sunday and Kelley made homemade ice cream to go with our pie, YUM. Brian happens to notice that there is only slightly more than a serving left and... helps himself. Eating right out of the mixing container.

It doesn't take Holden long to notice and...

HEY!!! I want some.

So, Brian, being the generous uncle he is, shares with Holden.

Except, wait a minute, Holden decides that Brian has had enough and that he should polish it off.

Pretty soon he was licking his fingers clean, or just licking his fingers, and ready to go, except when you've had too much ice cream, there is a little difficulty with the dismount. Good thing Uncle Rob and Uncle Brian were there to help you get unstuck, Holden!

Here in North Idaho, April gave us a cool greeting. Snow, sleet, rain, and fog. Yech! The bright side is that it can't last forever. Or maybe this was nature's April Fools joke on us...
